May 28 Dodgers 3 Brewers 3
The Brewers and Dodgers squared
off on a beautiful evening for
baseball and battled to a 3-3 tie. The Dodgers broke through in the first
inning with Eamonn Burke scoring the first run of the game. Brewers hurler
Jordan Kelley and Dodgers ace Dillon Kaliris then matched zeros, supported by
the defense of Brewers James Talbot, Sean Spencer, and Dan Broderick and the
glove work of the Dodgers Patrick Coen, Ben Pierce, and William Casparriello.
Steven Stromski relieved Kaliris for the Dodgers and held the Brewers in check
with his pitching and fielding, spearing 2 hard hit balls and turning them into
outs. The Brewers finally broke through to tie the game, with Tommy
Callanan's
double bringing in Colin Mullane. Brewers hurlers Alec Catalini and
Brandon Marino held the
Dodgers in check while Dodgers pitchers Justin Parker and Jay Tucci did the same
to the Brewers. The Dodgers finally broke the tie, with Kaliris knocking
in two
runs to take the lead. The Dodgers defense, led by Zach Maguire, Patrick
Coen,
and Darren Parker, kept the Brewers from coming back. In the 6th inning
the Brewers battled back,
with Saorise Connolly knocking in the tying run. The Dodgers continued to battle
for the win
with some good hitting by Ryan Long and Phil Dwyer, but Erin Hennessey and Ian
Libby kept them off the board, and the game ended in a hard-fought 3-3 tie.
