June 19  Brewers 11  Braves 7

The Brewers wrapped up the League Championship with a hard fought 11-7
win over the Braves.  The Braves sent Brendan Hennessey to the mound against
Chris Burke for the Brewers.   The Braves' bats jumped on Burke in the first
inning with hits from Ryan Hennessey, Fred Gillis, and Connor Clark to quickly
put 2 runs on the board.  The Brewers answered in the home half of the 1st
inning with doubles by Burke and Chris Ackerman and singles by Cam McGuire and
Ryan Smith to even the score at 2-2.  Burke shutdown the Braves' offense for the next
4 innings by pitching a masterful game.  The Brewers' offense kept
hitting on all cylinders.  In the home half of the 2nd Alex Burton earned a walk
and moved to 2nd base with some heads up base running.  Burke then hit a double
to score Burton giving the Brewers a 3 -2 lead. In the home half of the 3rd
inning consecutive hits from McGuire, Smith, TJ. Flaherty, and Tyler Thompson
plated 3 more runs for the Brewers increasing their lead to 6-2.  
In the home half of the 4th inning Chris Ackerman and Cam McGuire
launched back to back Home runs pushing the Brewers' lead to 8-2.  The Brewers'
offense kept clicking in the home half of the 5th inning.  Alden Bedsole earned
a walk and stole 2nd base.  Burke singled scoring Bedsole.  Chris Ackerman then
launched his second home run of the game increasing the lead to 11-2 for the
Brewers.   Most teams would fold at this deficit but not the Braves.  In the top
of the 6th inning behind 11-2 the Braves' bats came alive with a flurry when the
Brewers brought in Ackerman to pitch.  Bill Kaliris started the comeback with a sharp single with
one out.  Dan Appleby singled with two outs putting runners at second and first.
Jared Bernis singled scoring Kaliris cutting the lead to 11-3.  Brendan
Hennessey then singled filling the bases for the Braves.  Ryan Hennessey then
launched a triple clearing the bases and cutting the Brewers' lead to 11-6. 
Hennessey then scored o n some nifty base running of his own cutting the Brewers' lead to 11-7. 
Ackerman then retired the next Brave batter to earn the league championship
for the Brewers.
