April 26   Major Phillies 21 Mets 10

The Major League Phillies traveled to take on the Mets and exploded with 9 runs in the first off of hits by Derek Packard, Michael Luciano and Sean Donovan with Kevin Burns and Sean Connolly getting RBI’s.  The Phillies sent Alex Dervartanian to the hill and he set the Mets down 1-2-3 in the first.   The Mets got on the board in the second with 2 runs off singles by Vance Gates, Ian Fogarty and Marcus Mahoney and a walk to Michael O’Brien.  O’Brien came on to pitch for the Mets and shut the Phillies down for the next 2 innings.  The Mets scored 2 more runs in the third off singles by Ben Fiesel and Fogarty and a walk to Abraham Zimmerman.  The Phillies tacked on 4 more in the fourth off hits by Jack Aylward, Luciano, Michael Dreske and John Casparriello.  The never say die Mets roared back with 6 runs in the fourth and fifth innings off hits by Ryan Stanton and Sean Gillis and walks to Marco Garofalo and Michael Cunningham.  Feeling the heat thePhillies rattled off 8 runs in the sixth of singles by Luciano and Donovan and a booming double by Alex Herrera.  Dervartanian pitched 4 strong innings for the Phillies and handed the ball off to the bullpen to finish off the win 21-10.
